West Plains Man Arrested For Domestic Assault, Kidnapping

West Plains, MO. – A West Plains man has been arrested and formally charged following a domestic assault earlier this month. Corey A. Collins, age 25 of West Plains, has been charged with Felony Domestic Assault 2nd Degree and 1st Degree Kidnapping and was arrested by the Howell County Sheriff’s Office on April 19. 

The probable cause statement states that, on April 3, a co-worker with the spouse of Collins had reported that there had been a Domestic Assault situation with her husband. The spouse of Collins reported that Corey had been drinking heavily and had slapped her across the face, drawing blood. He had refused to allow her to call 9-1-1 or seek medical attention until four hours later. Photos of her injuries were shared with an officer of the West Plains Police Department and charges were pressed.

Corey Collins was held in the Howell County Jail until Wednesday, April 20, when he posted bond of $10,000.
