West Plains, MO. – A semi truck was involved in a one-vehicle accident in West Plains today during the noon hour, causing a short loss of power for citizens.

The semi collided with a power pole at the intersection of Lincoln Ave and Abe Taylor St. The driver of the semi turned too tightly at the drive of Timberland, causing his trailer to collide with the power pole.
Power crews and West Plains Fire Department members are currently working the scene, and have stated clean-up will likely take a few hours, and the road will remain closed until at least 4pm, but power loss should not be a further issue.
