West Plains, MO. – A West Plains man was arrested on October 5th for a burglary committed on Lanton Road.
Eligah Talbert was arrested shortly after 7 p.m. on October 5th after witnesses and security cameras placed Talbert entering a residence on Lanton Road. Talbert was seen going into a trailer and taking items out of the home two times earlier in the day. The resident told West Plains Police that there was damage to the entryway of their home and roughly $700 worth of items taken.
When investigators questioned Talbert, he stated he was told by a woman who wasn’t a resident at the house that he had allowed to go inside the home. Talbert was under the influence of alcohol when he was arrested.
Talbert is being held on $10,000 cash or corporate surety bond.
