West Plains Man Arrested on 14 Felonies

West Plains, Mo. – A West Plains man has been charged with 14 felonies connected with an incident in West Plains on November 3rd. 

Andrew D. Carter is charged with five counts of first degree assault, five counts of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon – possess weapon and a felony controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon – discharge into home, motor vehicle or other, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid.

According to online court documents, Carter was arrested by the West Plains Police Department. In addition to the criminal charges, protection orders for adult abuse stalking and child protection act were also filed. His next day in court is on December 6 for a preliminary hearing for the felony charges and a disposition hearing for the protection orders.

Andrew Carter also has legal troubles from another court case dealing with misdemeanor sexual misconduct, trespassing, and resisting arrest.
