Henderson, AR. Man Arrested for Assault/Gun Threat on Emergency Responder

Henderson, AR. – A man from Henderson, AR. was arrested on December 26th in relation to events surrounding a fire and an emergency responder being threatened.

Fire crews began responding to a structure fire in the area that Monday evening, and while on route, Deputies from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office received information that a man was near the residence, and had threatened those there with a firearm.

Upon arrival, deputies began to investigate and found that the victim had attempted to hook up fire dousing equipment and approached the structure before he was stopped by an unknown male. The man then approached and threatened the fireman with a perceived firearm, and told them not to approach the fire.

Investigators found Michael Koch, a 52-year-old resident nearby, who was identified to be the aggressor. While no firearm was found, Koch was booked at the Baxter County Detention Center with a $7,500 bond under charges of Aggravated Assault, and Failure to Control/Report a Fire.
