Thursday saw four games at the Mountain Grove Girls Tournament to wrap up the 2022 tournament. The first game of the day determined the consolation winner between Willow Springs and Seymour. Willow Springs won 50-46 as Dana Canedo lead the Lady Bears with 14 points, 3 Lady Bears, Chloe Jones (12), MyKylie Cox (10) were in double figures. Lillie Rasmussen scored a game high 19 and Addison Ridenhour tossed in 15 points for Seymour.
The fifth place game saw Norwood winning over Salem (MO) 53-46. Norwood was lead by Loren Mooney with 20 points, Kaytlyn Drake with 11 and Autumn Gunter a=with 10. Ashton Bowers from Salem lead all scorers with 25 points, and Avery Erway added 11 in the loss.
The Liberty Lady Eagles faced a very tough Chadwick who took their first loss of the season in the Semi-final game against Mansfield. Chadwick captured the third place trophy with a 42-38 win over the LAdy Eagles. Chadwick’s Kerrigan Guerin and Raeleigh Little lead all scorers with 17 points each, the LAdy Eagles were lead by Reagan Wells with 14 points.
The Mansfield Lions and Licking Wildcats played for the championship and the Mansfield Lions win by the score of 49-36. Mansfield had three players in double figures Lauren Jones (13), Logan Jones (12) and Macie Tate (11). Leading all scores was Kaida Cook with 15 for the Lady Wildcats. Congratulations to the Mansfield Lions.
