Wendell Reid Pittman

Wendell Reid Pittman was born October 6, 1930, in Lyons, Georgia to Conrad and Eva (Conner) Pittman.  He departed this life on December 24, 2022, at his home in Willow Springs, Missouri at the age of 92.

Wendell was united in marriage to Jewel Denice Forsyth on December 15, 1948, in Folkston, Georgia, and one son and four daughters were born to their union.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Eva; son, Kerry; and five grandchildren.

Wendell is survived by his wife, Jewel of the home; four daughters, LaWanda (Richard) Green, Norma Jean (Dennis) Gray, Brenda (Ronnie) Risner, and Gail (John) Bell; daughter-in-law, Donna Stinnett; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Wendell proudly served in the Marines during World War II.  He was a preacher and evangelized for 68 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
