Houston, MO. – A local building that has housed businesses since 1866 in Houston, MO, will soon sit empty.
The address is 100 N Grand Avenue in Houston. For the locals that this may affect the most, they’ll know this as their local pharmacy, which has operated as a Walgreens since 2012. While Walgreens was the most recent operation inside of the building, the building itself as been a drug store fixture in the area since 1866.
Locals who did not wish to be named have agreed this throws a wrench in the gearworks of the Houston area, as this location provides much in the way of healthcare to the citizens of not only Houston, but Texas County as a whole.
Those aware of the issue are hoping a local entrepreneur or business will step in to fill the gap.
The closing date for this business is set at March 7th of this year.
Reports suggest that this closing could affect other locations in the region, including Willow Springs and Malden.
