West Plains, MO. – A man charged with multiple felonies for the abuse of a 5-year-old child will go before the Oregon County Court on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Anthony L. Knighton, 25, is charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Child Molestation and two counts of 1st Degree Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy, all charges with a child less than 12 years old.
Knighton was arrested in January 2021 by Thayer Police following an investigation by Missouri Children’s Division. According to the probable cause statement, the minor victim told a Children’s Division interviewer that the accused would put his “No No” in her mouth and that it had happened multiple times in Knighton’s bedroom. The child went on to tell the interviewer that the accused would touch her “No No” with his hands.
Knighton is being held in the Oregon County Jail with No Bond.
