Ironton pair injured in crash near Winona on Tuesday

West Plains, MO. – A pair from Ironton, Missouri were injured in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred at 8:50 a.m. on Route H, three miles north of Winona on February 28, 2023.

A southbound 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor driven by Julia Martin, age 68, traveled off the right side of the roadway and went airborne. The vehicle then struck the ground, slid, and overturned. Martin and her passenger, John Martin, age 81, had not been wearing their seat belts. The driver suffered moderate injuries and the passenger received serious injuries and was taken by Mercy Ambulance to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.
