West Plains Senior Center Receives Grant, Starts Magazine

West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Senior Center recently received a $5,000 grant from Missouri Humanities, a non-profit affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, and has used this grant to start a new publication.

The magazine’s subject matter includes things such as personal experiences of senior citizens within the community, helpful tips and tricks for life, the history of West Plains, and more.

Places where you can find this new publication include the Senior Center itself, the West Plains Welcome Center, and various businesses within the West Plains area.

This magazine was also made in partnership with SeniorAge, a non-profit that operates primarily in our corner of Missouri, and helps elderly citizens maintain independence as they age.

The Senior Center can be found at 416 East Main Street in West Plains.
