Emile Irvie Dupont, 86, of Vanzant, Missouri, entered God’s Kingdom on February 14, 2023.
He was born June 18, 1936, in Lakewood, New Jersey, to Reva and Harry Dupont. Emile lived most of his life in Waretown and during that time he was a member of the Ocean Township Board of Education. He served in public office in Ocean Township from January 1972-1974 and served as mayor in 1974. He served with Engle Sprague and Fred Landgrabber. He was a member of United Association of Journeymen & Apprentices of Plumbers and Pipefitters, Local 9, for 65 years, member of the NRA for 60 years, member of the Missouri Firearm Coalition, an active member of Judicial Watch and held a life membership at the Waretown Historical Society. He and his wife Janette moved to Missouri in 2001 to pursue what he always wanted to do; live in a rural area where he could have a small farm. He was very dedicated to his always impressive gardens, both vegetable and flower. And impressive they were! If the temperature was over 50 degrees, you would find him outside in the garden. He was known as Grandpa Oats, Pop-Pop, Grandpa Dupont, Grandpop Emile, and Uncle Boot. Emile has said “Thank you Lord for the power to run the race of faith knowing that you have prepared the way for me to finish and leave an eternal legacy for others. Amen! Hallelujah!” Emile was totally immersed in the reality of God’s love for him, and it sustained him even during the most difficult times of life. He loved the Lord with all his heart and feared nothing!
Emile, the most loving husband, father and grandfather is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janette, his daughters, Kimberly Halbeisen and her husband, John, Tracy Nagle and her husband, Drew, his son, Timothy Forsythe and his wife, Catrina, his grandchildren, Kevin Dupont and his wife, Alexandria, Morgan Dupont, Brandon, Aylah, Mark, Layla, Brynn, Caleb, Sophia and Edan, and his great-grandchildren, McKenna, Cole, Hunter, and Jackson, as well as his nieces, Susan Murtha, Shirley McKendree, and Joann Allen.
Emile was preceded in death by his parents, Reva and Harry Dupont, his sister, Jacqueline Allen, his brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Hildegard Dupont, and his son, Mark Dupont.
