Oregon, IL. – An announcement was released late yesterday from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, indicating that an individual wanted for rape in Baxter County had been apprehended in Illinois.
The man arrested is known as David E. White Jr, a 41-year-old male. He was arrested in Oregon, IL by the local Police Department and the US Marshal Fugitive Task Force. The warrant was issued on the 27th of last month, and includes three Class Y Felony counts of rape, the most serious class of felony not punishable by death.
White was arrested yesterday morning, and is currently in jail and awaiting extradition to Baxter County. Court documents, including probable cause statements have been sealed, likely in order to protect the victim(s) and their families in this investigation.
