Mountain Home, AR. – A man from Calico Rock AR. was arrested in Mountain Home on February 24th on assault charges after attacking his father with a hammer.
This case began when information was provided to 911 Dispatch at 2:27am stating that the caller’s son had attacked his father and fled the scene.
A responding Sheriff’s Department Deputy located suspect Adam Rush on Kelly Lane in Mountain Home, who stated that his father had struck him, and he couldn’t remember what had happened. Victim testimony was that he awoke to pounding on his door and yelling outside, and opened it to find Rush with a claw hammer before he attacked. The victim had two puncture wounds on his shoulder consistent with a claw hammer.
Adam Rush was taken into custody and transported to the Baxter County Detention Center, where he was booked at 4:55am. His booking charges include 3rd Degree Domestic Battery, and Aggravated Assault. His bond is set at $15,000.
