NRCS Missouri Sets April 28 Application Cutoff for CSP Renewals

COLUMBIA, Mo., March 28, 2023 – USDA officials announced an April 28, 2023, application cutoff for producers that have an existing, active CSP contract enrolled as a 2019 classic or 2019 Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) CSP. To be eligible for the renewal opportunity, the existing contract must expire in 2023.

The CSP, or Conservation Stewardship Program, helps agricultural producers maintain and improve their existing conservation systems and adopt additional conservation activities to address priority resource concerns. Participants earn CSP payments for conservation performance – the higher the performance, the higher the payment.
