Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce Starts “Where’s Wendell” Fundraiser

Willow Springs, MO. – The Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce has started a new fundraiser that has taken a known figure of the community and has him popping up in unexpected places.

The name of the fundraiser is “Where’s Wendell”. Kim McCormick, the Director of the Willow Springs Chamber, told us what this is all about. The basic idea is that Wendell Bailey, a widely agreed-upon symbol of Willow Springs, will appear in various places throughout the town in the form of a cardboard cut-out.

Participation in this event is two-fold; Wendell 2.0, as he’s known, can be moved to a specific place for $25 by contacting the Willow Springs Chamber. This can be a residence, a business, or pretty much anywhere.

Secondly, individuals who find Wendell throughout town can take a selfie with the cardboard clone, and post it to the Chamber’s Facebook page with the hashtag #WheresWendell. The person who does so is entered into a drawing for a $50 cash prize.
