Fran was a loving mother to her two sons, Chat Dean and Jason Alan Hester. Fran was blessed with a beautiful daughter-in-law, Grace. Their relationship was one to be admired. Many sweet memories, laughter and tears were shared over coffee between this mother-daughter duo.

Fran married William (Bill) Joseph Ipock Sr. on April 5th, 1997, whom she loved, cherished and spoiled for 26 years. Upon marrying Bill, she happily accepted his children William (Jody), Jada, and Jesse Ipock as her very own, with no reservations. In this blended family, Fran was a blessing to five children and their spouses, including Harley Motsenbocker and Kayla Ipock; eleven grandchildren and their spouses and six great grandchildren.

Fran was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church. Her faith in the Lord and hope in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. That life was spent beautifully as a homemaker and caregiver. While Fran enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking, frequently redecorating the house and occasionally setting a forest fire her favorite pastime was spending hours with her family and close friends. She thrived on the love and laughter found during family holidays, birthday dinners, summer cookouts and impromptu get togethers. She looked forward to spending time with Chat and Grace every summer to tend to the garden. She was always ready to plan a family meal and never denied a request for her homemade ice cream which is the best in the county. We will miss having our very own gourmet candymaker, her chocolate cake and no bake cookies. But most of all we will miss how she loved us.

Fran accepted so many people into her life and heart. When she called you family there was no doubt that she truly meant it.

Granny, as her grandchildren called her, had the ability to make each grandchild feel as though they were her ‘favorite’. In reality, she absolutely adored each one for their uniqueness and individual strengths.

Her sharp wit, laughter and warmth are already missed, and Heaven seems all the more sweeter.

Frances was preceded in death by parents, William and Imogene Carter; siblings, Shirley George, William Carter, John Mark Carter, and Mary Means. Granny also had a beautiful granddaughter waiting for her in heaven, Candice Grace Hester.
