West Plains Man Arrested in Wright County

Mountain Grove, MO. – A man from West Plains was arrested Saturday evening when the driver was stopped by the Highway Patrol for erratic driving.

This event began when Trooper Sullivan of Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol observed a vehicle unable to maintain its lane while traveling along US Highway 60. A traffic stop ensued, which led to Trooper Sullivan finding the driver intoxicated.

The driver was identified as Michael Deardorff, a 58-year-old male. A consented search followed, leading to methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia being found. Additionally, Deardorff has a standing warrant out of Howell County for Possession of a Weapon by a felon. He was taken to the Wright County Jail with a bond of $50,000.
