Kansas City is placing left-hander Ryan Yarbrough on the 15-day injured list due to “three non-displaced fractures in different spots around his right eye.” The 31-year-old was struck in the face by a 106-mile-per-hour line drive against the Oakland A’s on Sunday. Royals manager Matt Quatraro said that Yarbrough is “stable” and “improving” following the injury. Yarbrough is 1-and-4 with a 6.15 ERA this season.
