Eleanor “Elle” Tucker

Eleanor Tucker, 94 years, 3 months, and 18 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on May 21, 2023 at the Ava Place.

Eleanor was born February 3, 1929 in Georgetown, TX to Henry Albert and Blanche Level (Sudduth) Perriraz.

She was raised in the Georgetown community. Eleanor worked as a Nurses Aide when she was a teenager and had met her future husband at the YWCA in Austin, TX. On November 3, 1951 Eleanor and Norman Edwin Tucker, Sr. were united in marriage at Georgetown, TX and together were blessed with four children.

Eleanor and Norman moved to Washington, IA then relocated to Illinois where he worked at General Motors. In 1967 they moved to the Squires, MO community and continued to raise a family and work on the farm.

She enjoyed word search puzzles, reading Christian novels, water tubing and being with her grandchildren. Eleanor was a dedicated homemaker to her family. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Ava Highway Church of the Nazarene. In recent years she attended the Cold Creek Cowboy Church. She was a joy to be with and would always light up the room with her smile and compassion for others!

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Norman Sr. in 1999; her sister, Frances Havins and an infant brother and a granddaughter, Hayleigh.

She is survived by her children and their spouses; Marsha & Lee Aborn, Donald & Linda Tucker, Henry & Brenda Tucker and Norman “Bud” & Connie Tucker; 10 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; a very special friend, Ernest Hamilton;  nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Eleanor are Friday, May 26, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with Pastor John Williams officiating. Visitation is prior to the service at 1:00 P.M.  Her Graveside will be Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Berry’s Creek Cemetery, Georgetown, TX by her husband Norman, Sr. with Gabriels Funeral Chapel, Georgetown, TX conducting.
