Ava, MO. – One woman from Seymour, MO. is recovering from serious injuries in Springfield after an accident on Sunday morning.
The location was Highway 5 at Roadside Park, halfway between Ava and Mansfield. Ruby Woods was the 52-year-old operator of a Chevy Silverado. She was travelling Southbound, when at 6:25am she swerved to avoid an animal on the roadway. This caused her to travel off the roadway and struck a rock bluff nearby.

The vehicle was extensively damaged and Woods sustained injuries labeled as serious in severity. She was transported to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.
The investigator of this July 9th crash was Trooper C.A. Edens of Troop G.
