Suzie Campbell

   Suzie Ann Campbell, age 67, of Alton, Missouri passed away July 9, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, Missouri.  She was born November 27, 1955, in Gardena, California to Orville and Wilma Rudd.

   Suzie married Glen Ivan Campbell, August 9, 1973, in Alton, Missouri. They was married for 39 years and within this union they had two daughters and five grandchildren.

   She enjoyed crafting, gardening, taking small road trips, going to yard sales and Hobby Lobby. She loved making wreaths for anyone who wanted one and decorating her house for Christmas. Walking into her house at Christmas time was like walking into a winter wonderland. She always had a western playing on the TV.

   Suzie loved everyone that she met. If you met her, you had a friend for life. She was the most caring, selfless person ever. She never knew a stranger. To know her was to love her and to love her was to know her. She was a cornerstone in our little hometown. Suzie will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She may be gone but will forever be in our hearts.

   She is survived by her significant other Victor Paul Bates, of Alton, Missouri; two daughters Vickie Campbell of Alton, Missouri and Glenda Campbell (Lorenzo Pratt) of Colorado Spring, Colorado; one special niece Tina Huddleston (Ronnie); one very special adopted son Catlin Pankey; two sisters Judy Kinser, of San Antonio, Texas and Tammy Rudd, of Alton, Missouri; one brother Roy Rudd of the home; five grandchildren Dylan Fettig, Toby Simpson, Nathan Simpson, TaPango Cook and Jennifer Bell; three great-grandchildren; many adopted grandchildren that loved “their” Nana; numerous Aunts, Uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

   Preceded in death by her parents Orville and Wilma Rudd; her husband Glen Campbell; one brother Gary Rudd; two sisters-in-laws Marie Rudd and Nickie Rudd.

  

 Funeral services for will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri. Visitation will be held Wednesday July 12, 2023, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri.

   Interment will be on Thursday, July 13, 2023, in Huddleston Cemetery, Alton Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
