ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the team has signed forward Alexey Toropchenko to a two-year contract worth an annual average value (AAV) of $1.25 million to avoid arbitration.
Toropchenko, 24, was drafted by the Blues in the fourth round, 113th overall, of the 2017 NHL Draft.
Last season, he tallied 19 points (10 goals, nine assists) and 12 penalty minutes in 69 regular-season games with the Blues, as well as three points (one goal, two assists) and four penalty minutes in five regular-season games with the Thunderbirds.
Overall, the Moscow, Russia, native has recorded 21 points (12 goals, nine assists) and 27 penalty minutes in 97 career NHL regular-season games.
