The Kansas City Royals launched three home runs en route to an 8-4 victory over the visiting Tampa Bay Rays at Kauffman Stadium. MJ Melendez, Drew Waters and Bobby Witt Jr. each went deep and drove in a combined seven runs to propel the Royals to their second win in the last four games. Kansas City starter Brady Singer earned the win after striking out four and allowing four earned runs through eight innings. The Royals remain at the bottom of the AL Central at 27-and-67.
The Royals host the Tigers on Monday.
