Wilma J Miles was born August 1, 1935 and passed away August 12, 2023 at her home in Union, MO.
She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Amlong (Steve) Fairdealing, MO and Christi Morrison (Lonnie) Union, MO, brother Sam Bell (Debbie) Dexter, MO four grandsons, Elijah Peterson (Ashley) Crescent, Iowa, Nathan Peterson (Jordan) St Charles, MO, Matthew Morrison Union, MO, Christopher Morrison (Jamie) Grovesprings, MO eight great grandchildren Kendall Keithley, Layla Wilke-Conant, Sayler and Bridger Peterson, Audrey and Gatlin Peterson, Jacob and Weston Morrison, many nieces and nephews, many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Miles, parents Sam Bell and Edith Jasper Bell, stepmother Hazel Bell. Two brothers Garnet Paul Bell (Sonny) and Howard Bell, sister in law Frances Bell, three sisters Hazel Barton, Marie Staires, Opal Jones, two brother in laws Bill Barton and Lloyd Staires.
Wilma was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Arnold, MO. She was active in Bible studies and volunteered in the Library and Family Life Center. She loved to deliver meals to those shut in, visiting hospitals and nursing homes. She went on one of the mission trips to India and supported several missionaries. She retired from Modern Woodmen of America as a life insurance agent where she earned many awards, including agent of the year, President’s Award, and Million Dollar Round Table. She enjoyed traveling to all seven continents and 50 states. She loved being with her family, reading, cooking and baking.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2023 at the Calvary Fellowship Church 1811 Smizer Station Rd Fenton, MO 63026 with service to follow at 3:00pm. Graveside service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Bailey Cemetery, Alton, MO. The Pallbearers will be: Steve Amlong, Lonnie Morrison, Elijah Peterson, Nathan Peterson, Stan Bell, Sam Strain, Honorary Pallbearer: Matthew Morrison.
