A Celebration of Life for Thomas Herman Armstrong, Age 81 of Thayer, Missouri will be held on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 at The New Life Church, Thayer, Missouri, beginning at 10:00 AM.

Thomas Herman Armstrong was born August 31, 1945, in Springfield, Ohio, to Herman and Olive Armstrong of Fairborn, Ohio. He moved to heaven on October 4, 2026, from his home in Thayer, Missouri.
Tom graduated from Fairborn High School in Ohio in 1963 and from the Ohio State University in 1967. He married the love of his life, Ruth (Bud) Gibson on September 25, 1964.
Tom and Ruth were blessed with five children: Kimberly Speaight of Camp, Arkansas; Shane Armstrong (Lori) of Thayer, Missouri; Chad Armstrong (Shanda) of New Vienna, Ohio; Susan Smalley (Clinton) of Wilmington, Ohio and Cheri Smith (Jr.) of Wilmington, Ohio.
Their legacy currently includes these five children and spouses as well as 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to Tom as “Poppi”.
Tom’s heart desire was that his family know and walk with the Lord Jesus Christ as he had spent his life doing. He was a long-time farmer in Clinton County, Ohio, and then in Thayer. He was also a lifelong fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes football team.
