Norwood, MO. – A Douglas County two-vehicle crash has led to the serious injury of one of the drivers.
This accident happened on Saturday, September 16th on Highway YY. Roy Russel, a 67-year-old from Norwood, was operating a John Deere tractor on the roadway, travelling Westbound when he began to take a left turn roughly 10 miles South of Norwood. At 4:00pm, the crash occurred when Aaron Woods, 47 of Norwood, struck the tractor in his Chevy Cruze.
The Cruze was totaled and Woods sustained serious injuries in the collision. He was wearing his safety device. Ground ambulance services transported Woods from the scene to Mercy in Springfield for medical treatment.
Corporal N.J. Britt of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G was the investigator of this accident.
