Mr. Marion Francis Jones Jr., a resident of Springfield, and formerly of Willow Springs, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 11, 2023, at his home. Marion was born July 1, 1945, to Marion Francis Jones Sr. and Verda Lillie (Kinnie) Jones in Willow Springs and was 78 years old.
Marion grew up on the family farm spending much of his time with his family, especially his brothers and sisters. He enjoyed many of the same activities as his siblings: going on drives, sightseeing, and watching westerns with his brother, Leroy. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Verdie; his brothers, Lester, Harold, Ralph, Delbert, Leroy, and two infant brothers; his sisters, Ella Marie Lovan, Gladys Chadd, Mary Norris, Beulah Kentch, and Juanita Stubbs.
