West Plains, MO. – A West Plains man was arrested earlier this month after allegedly attempting to entice a child for sexual acts.
Larry Thornton, age 63, is charged with felony enticement of a child and misdemeanor furnish pornographic material to a minor. He was arrested by the Howell County Sheriff’s Office on October 13, 2023.
According to the probable cause statement, Thornton had sent sexual pictures of himself and a picture of an adult female with her breast exposed, as well as several sexually explicit messages to a 10-year-old girl. The minor had sent Thornton a picture of her face and he stated in a post-Miranda interview that quote, “she looks to be 20 years old” end quote.
According to online court documents, the accused pled not guilty following his arrest and has since been released on a $25,000 bond.
