John Alan Crotts, age 67 of Thayer, Missouri passed away October 30, 2023, in West Plains, Missouri. John was born November 10, 1955, in Springfield, Missouri to Scott Jr. and Lucille (Ledbetter) Crotts.
John graduated from Thayer High School, where he was active in FFA and the marching band. He then graduated from Drury College (Drury University) in Springfield, Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in business. He was a cattle rancher and had many hobbies that he enjoyed. Among them, he especially enjoyed swimming, boating, and water activities on Lake Norfork. He also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States.
He was a good citizen and loved his country. He was a compassionate person who was a loyal friend. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
John is survived by his Uncle John H. and Aunt Sarah Crotts of The Villages, Florida; several cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Thayer Cemetery Thayer, Missouri.
Interment will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in Thayer Cemetery, Thayer Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
