Two Juveniles Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident

Norwood, MO. – Two juveniles from Norwood are recovering in Springfield after being involved in an accident yesterday evening.

According to the report on this crash, this accident took place at 4:15 p.m. on Highway E, 1 mile north of Norwood.

As far as the conditions of the crash go, the report reads that a 16-year-old driver from Norwood, operating a Ford F350, struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was attempting to make a left turn. The Ford F350 then traveled off the left side of the roadway, and a juvenile passenger was ejected.

Neither of the juveniles were wearing a safety device when the crash occurred. The 16-year-old male driver suffered minor injuries, but the 17-year-old female that was ejected was inflicted with moderate injuries.

Both were taken to Mercy in Springfield for treatment.
