Update-Nov. 20, 2023: adding information from online court documents
On November 16, 2023, at approximately 2:20 P.M., Officers with the West Plains Police Department responded to 502 Porter Wagoner Blvd. in reference to a person attempting to steal a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, Officers were contacted by witnesses who stated that a male had just pulled a firearm on another female at the store.
Officers then separated both parties, and an investigation was conducted. Upon further investigation, the male, identified in online court documents as Thomas G. Clinton, was placed in custody for Robbery 1st, Kidnapping 1st, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of Weapon. The probable cause statement says that Clinton and the female had been fighting over a backpack that he had taken from her at gunpoint. Clinton is being held in the West Plains Jail on a $25,000 bond.
The female, identified as Zoey Hensley, was also taken into custody on for Possession of Methamphetamine.
Both parties were arrested with separate charges and are placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges mentioned above through the Howell County Prosecutors Office.
Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
