Willow Springs, MO. – According to a recent update on the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash reports page, a Theodosia man has been injured after a tire exploded on New Year’s Day.
This event occurred at 3:30pm on US 63, roughly 3 miles north of Willow Springs. A 70-year-old Theodosia man was operating a Western Star semi truck when they noticed that their trailer had caught fire. They slowed the vehicle to a stop on the side of the road and attempted to put out the fire, only for a tire on the trailer to explode and injure the man.
The driver, identified as William Shannon, was transported by ground ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment. His injuries are listed as being minor.
