West Plains Man Seriously Injured in Fordland, MO.

Fordland, MO. – A West Plains man is recovering from a major injury after a collision involving ice and another vehicle Monday morning.

This crash happened at 5:50 a.m. on January 29th, with the location being on US Highway 60 in Fordland, Webster County. Involved were a GMC Sierra, driven by Brian Thompson, a 50-year-old male from Springfield, and a Dodge Ram, driven by John Stiner Jr, a 50-year-old West Plains resident.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged as a result of the accident. The report states that the driver of the Sierra lost control of their vehicle due to ice, which caused them to travel into the opposing lane of traffic, leading to a head-on collision.

Stiner was seriously injured in the crash, and EMS transported him to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.
