River Country Building In Thayer To Be Sports And Recreation Center

Thayer, MO. – The United Country Real Estate Thayer branch recently sold the commercial building, River Country, to Myrtle Rigel and it was recently announced it would be turned into a sports and recreation building. The signing over and the start of the building was on March 18, 2024. 

The building is 30,000 square feet and will have several rooms for all sports and all ages and sizes. The complex will be set up to support and accommodate various sports and events. The construction will be done by Master’s Timber Frame and Construction and Ozarks Contracting Solutions, LLC. There is not yet a list of all the different sports or a date for when the new sports and recreation center will be open and ready for the public.

New owner, Myrtle Rigel said, ” We are thrilled to bring this sports complex to Thayer, Missouri. Our vision is to provide a place where families, athletes, and community members can come together to enjoy a wide range of sports and recreational activities.”
