Mountain Home, AR. – A man from Mountain Home was arrested and charged with first-degree murder on the morning of Friday, June 14, 2024.
At 6:00 a.m. the Mountain Home Police Department was dispatched to a residence in Mountain Home after receiving a call about gunshots. Upon arrival, they found the body of a 36-year-old resident who had been shot and killed. officers observed that the layout and incident were suspicious. They launched an investigation to determine the situation and the cause.
An officer reported that no one else was in the residence and suspected that it was a domestic dispute that led to the shooting. After an investigation, they arrested 44-year-old Dusty Wheeler for first-degree murder of the woman. Wheeler was taken to the Baxter County Jail and is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.
