The Cardinals have won back to back games after holding off the Pirates 7-4 in their series opener at PNC Park. Kyle Gibson earned the victory after striking out eight and allowing four runs over five innings. Ryan Helsley secured his 31st save of the season after striking out one batter in a scoreless bottom of the ninth. Alec Burleson hit a two-run homer and Nolan Gorman slugged a grand slam. St. Louis is now in second place in the NL Central at 44-and-40. Miles Mikolas starts for St. Louis against Pittsburgh tonight.
