Muriel (Rudisill) Winterland, daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Fillmore) Rudisill, was born November 15, 1938 in Normal, Illinois. She passed from this life on July 3, 2024 in Mountain Grove, Missouri, at the age of 85.
Muriel attended school in the Towanda and Normal communities. She was united in marriage to Harry Winterland on July 16, 1955 in Lexington, Illinois. Four children were born to this union: Tony, Pamela, Rodney, and Debra. The lived in Lexington and later moved to LeRoy, Illinois and eventually moved to Dora, Missouri where they resided for the remainder of their lives.
Muriel was a member of the Church of Christ and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a devoted wife and mother who worked numerous odd jobs throughout her life such as, waitressing at Kathy’s Kitchen, hanging wall paper, Beich’s Candy, and Lexington pencil factory to name a few.
Muriel enjoyed camping, gardening, and spending time at her little cabin in the woods. Her greatest love was being with her family and friends.
Besides her parents, Muriel was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Winterland; two sons, Tony and Rodney Winterland; three brothers; and two sisters.
Muriel is survived by two daughters, Pamela Bulduc of El Paso, Illinois, and Debra Miller and husband, Jimmy, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; three grandchildren, Nicole Nichols, Blake Hadfield, and Dylan Kinsella; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove.
