Today, at Mike Kehoe’s campaign bus stops in Blue Springs and Kansas City, he was met with a fowl sight. A representative of the Eigel campaign was on-hand to remind anyone who stopped by that the bus is owned by a China-lobbyist and Mike Kehoe is too chicken to join tonight’s only televised statewide gubernatorial debate.
Tonight, voters across the state will listen to two candidates answer tough questions about their policy proposals and records. Mike Kehoe is too chicken to show, and spent the day at his own events on his bus.
The Eigel campaign didn’t want to let him miss all the fun, so they sent a staffer with a reminder of his cowardly debate dodge. He donned a chicken costume and carried a sign that reads: “Mike Kehoe — Owned by Communist China and Too Chicken to Debate”
Mike Kehoe has come under fire for his repeated votes to sell Missouri land to China. He was the top advocate in the Senate for the deal to sell Missouri out to China. The Missouri Independent just revealed that his campaign bus actually belongs to the only lobbyist in the state who lobbies for the Chinese company that owns nearly 50,000 acres of Missouri land.
And, of course, Mike Kehoe has refused to participate in the only statewide televised debate of the governor’s race. He is unwilling to answer why he has called efforts to deport illegals “foolish” and voted for record tax hikes.
“Don’t worry, Kung-Pao Kehoe! Even if you’re too chicken to debate, we’ll still see you out on the campaign trail,” said Eigel campaign manager Sophia Shore.
Senator Bill Eigel is available to discuss the debate, his plans to deport illegal immigrants from Missouri, and the race for governor broadly. To coordinate an interview, please contact press@billeigel.com.
