The Royals were handed their second straight loss. Kansas City fell to the Boston Red Sox 6-5 at Kauffman Stadium. Vinnie Pasquantino was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Michael Massey hit his 10th home run of the season on a solo blast in the fifth inning. Starting pitcher Seth Lugo was charged with the loss and fell to 13-and-6 after allowing six runs through five-and-a-third innings. The Royals have lost three of four and sit third in the AL Central at 63-and-52. They host the Red Sox again this afternoon. Left-hander Cole Ragans will start opposite Boston righty Kutter Crawford.
