West Plains, MO. – The West Place Senior Center and SeniorAge Area on Aging are currently taking part in a pantry donation drive in order to supplement their supply of food that goes out as hot meals to a multitude of seniors in the community.
Since January of this year, over 10,000 hot meals made their way to those seniors, and just 10 shy of 42,000 frozen meals did so as well in that time frame.
All non-perishable, in-date canned food is accepted, and currently there is a competition going on between staff present over who will receive the most of certain kinds of food. In addition, a special event taking place next week on September 25th at noon to announce the results.
To learn how to donate, contact the West Plains Senior Center by dialing 417-256-4055.
