Here It Is Again! Catch Adorable Adoptables In This Week’s Pet Wrap Up

Pet Lovers! – In an effort to help local pet shelters, Ozark Radio News has started a Featured Pet of the Day to bring awareness to the overcrowding and hopefully get some of these babies a forever home after not having a family. This week’s pets are featured below for you to catch videos, bios, and pictures while you look for that missing piece in your life, your new baby!

On Monday, we featured Farrah. This beautiful little girl is an 8-year-old Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog. She is currently being held at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri and has been there since April 30, 2024. Farrah is one of the best girls ever. She acts like a fun-loving puppy with the best personality. She is a very well-behaved girl who loves her toys. She wants all the toys. Farrah is friendly and loves people of all ages, including kids. She is even a reading buddy for all of SWH’s volunteers. She is an inside dog but is happy to play in a fenced-in area and go for walks outdoors. She loves outdoor adventures. She would prefer to be your only pet when you adopt her. She was found as a stray and dreams of finding a forever home with a family to love her huge puppy heart. Farrah has also already been spayed. October is National Adopt A Shelter Dog month, so share and help these guys finally find a home. If you want to adopt Farrah, call (417)833-2526.

On Tuesday, we featured Carnelian. Carnelian is a 6-year-old Domestic Shorthair mix being held at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri. She has officially been held for over a year and was taken in on June 26, 2024. She has already been spayed and is in search of a forever home. Carnelian has a very mellow temperament and would make a purrfect companion for anyone seeking a calm pet. She loves playing with her dangly toys and would prefer a household without children where she can keep comfortable. She does well with other cats and wouldn’t mind if she had a few friends at her forever home. If you are interested in giving this sweet Carnelian a home contact the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri at (417)833-2526.

On Wednesday, we featured Sugar. Sugar is a 6-year-old Chow Chow/Australian Shepard Mix being held at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri. She had been available for a home since January 24, 2024. Sugar’s name matches her personality. Sweet. Sugar loves to play fetch, tug-of-war, or any other game you could possibly think of. This girl is full of love and energy. She is smart and a quick learner, always eager to learn and show off new tricks. She can be quite shy at first but will warm up quickly and show all her love after she gets to know you. Sugar can be very protective of her family and is looking for a home without very young children or other pets. She loves to be the center of attention and wants to give you all her love. She is waiting for the right person to love her and finally give her a forever home. If want to be that person call (417)833-2526.

On Thursday, we featured MoMo. MoMo is a 3-year-old domestic shorthair mix male being held at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri. He is already neutered and has been waiting for a home since July 8, 2024. MoMo is an extremely kind and playful cat who loves attention. I visited the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri to meet the animals and get pictures for these posts. The individual who accompanied me on the trip fell in love with this little boy and played with him for a good 20 minutes. If we didn’t already have 7 dogs and a bunch of cats we might have had a friend on the drive home. MoMo was found in a car engine with burns covering over half of his body and he has made a fantastic recovery. He is looking for a forever home with someone who can play with him and handle loving cat energy. If you are interested in a new friend call (417)833-2526.

To wrap up the week, on Friday, we featured Artemis. Artemis is an 8-year-old Retriever/Labrador mix and is being held at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri. She has already been spayed and has been waiting for a home since April 30, 2024. This girl may be getting up there in age, but she has the energy and heart of a puppy. We visited her at the shelter, and she loved all the pets and toys. She is a very sweet dog, and I would love to find her forever home. She already knows some commands and does well with humans. If you are interested in adopting this baby girl, contact (417)833-2526. Please share and help her find her forever home and help someone else find the friends that have been missing in National Adopt and Shelter Dog Month.
