West Plains, MO. – As a way to commemorate 2024 and the year of the total solar eclipse, the City of West Plains will be burying a time capsule next week.
This will happen on Tuesday, October 8th at the Ozark Heritage Welcome Center, 2999 Porter Wagoner Boulevard. A brief ceremony is planned for 11am, being open to the public to attend.
This time capsule will contain various eclipse souvenirs and information about West Plains and Party in the Path. It will be opened in 100 years and will also have a dogwood tree planted to go along with it.
