“Conditions Worsened to Extreme (D3) Drought” In SW Missouri, NWS Says

This is a very dry fall, and sadly, while much of the area isn’t heavily in a drought anymore, a large swathe still hasn’t recovered. In the coming days, with a dry October being on the menu, this is only expected to worsen.

Regions of Douglas and Ozark Counties have increased to the beginning stages of a drought, with area further west worsening to a D3, or “extreme” conditions.
