On Friday night SCA foes The Liberty Eagles and Houston Tigers met for the second time in three weeks. In week nine the Eagles and Tigers battled until the last play of the game when Liberty scored to win 6-0. This week the game started out with a similar feel, however Liberty broke on top in the first quarter with a 3 yard Jaren Rutledge TD. The score remained 6-0 through halftime but the Eagles recovered the opening kickoff of the second half and Gavin Reese found paydirt to give the Eagles a 12-0 lead, and the Eagles never looked back. They scored on a Reese touchdown pass to Parker Tune, then Reese had a 61 yard touchdown run, followed by a 90 yard touchdown run and Liberty won going away 42-0. The Liberty defense has only allowed 6 offensive points in their last five games. Next Friday night they will travel to #1 State Ranked Fair Grove for the District Championship.
