The West Plains Lady Zizzers played host to the Rolla Lady Bulldogs, who were ranked #10 in Class 6. It took both teams a bit to get going as the game was scoreless 2 minutes in. The teams traded baskets early on before Rolla gained a 4 point lead, 9-5. The Lady Zizzers took a timeout to talk things over. West Plains came out of the timeout and went on a 12-0 to end the quarter leading 17-9.
The Lady Zizzers used their long range shooting to stretch their lead to 12 points during the second quarter. They pulled ahead while battling foul trouble. Rolla was able to battle back and get as close as 4 points. The Lady Bulldogs trailed at halftime, 30-25.
As the third quarter began, the Lady Zizzers were ready and built an 11 point lead early. West Plains was able to hold Rolla at bay for most of the quarter and built a 13 point lead at one point. The Lady Bulldogs battle back as the end of the quarter neared. Each team scored 15 points in the quarters, so the margin was the same at the end of the third quarter as it was at halftime. The Lady Zizzers led 45-40.
The Lady Bulldogs were able to close the gap to within 3, early in the fourth quarter. That would be as close as Rolla would get, as the Lady Zizzers pulled away for 65-55 win. The Lady Bulldogs drop to (12-3) on the season, while the Lady Zizzers are now (8-6).
