Terry Lynn Malchert “Moe” was born May 21, 1963 at Houston, Missouri to John and Barb (Beasley) Malchert. He passed away January 31, 2025 at home in Yukon, Missouri after a brief battle with liver cancer.
Terry was united in marriage to Kathy Payne on July 3, 1983 and to their union two children were born, Holly Lynn and John Allen (Johnny)
Terry grew up in Pacific, Missouri where he attended Pacific High School.
He worked multiple jobs but in recent years he found his way back to doing what he loved, fixing cars. He worked for/with his long-time friends Gary and Sue Parish and their son Travis.
Terry loved working on cars, trucks and anything he could tear apart and put back together. He loved to fish and hunt and was extremely proud of his daughter, son and grandkids. He was especially proud of his granddaughter Abi for choosing to serve our country in the US Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Barb Malchert; grandparents, Wesley and Alma Malchert; uncle, Walter Malchert; grandparents, Tom and Sarah Beasley and his precious grandsons, Owen Matthew and Jacob Lee Runzi.
Terry is survived by his daughter Holly Runzi and husband Krag of Puxico, Missouri; his son, Johnny Malchert of Puxico, Missouri; 3 granddaughters, Abagail Lynn Runzi of Newport News, Virginia, Adison Runzi of Puxico, Missouri and Aubree Malchert of Wappapello, Missouri; one brother, Frankie Malchert and wife Debbie of Yukon, Missouri; sister, Cherie Douglas and husband David; nephews, David Matthew Douglas, nieces, Heather Douglas, Amanda Malchert and family and Steffanee Allison and family as well as special friends Gary and Sue Parish and Travis and Crystal Parish as well as many friends at the shop.
Moe loved to go fishing and Norfork Lake was one of his favorite places when he had his boat. He also loved Montauk and would frequent there when his kids Holly and Johnny were little and taught them all about Trout fishing. When Holly was little, she would sit on the 67 Mustang and help her daddy fix the car, that’s where her love of Mustangs comes from, her daddy. Terry spent many days at the baseball field with Johnny watching him play ball for many years and coaching him along the way. Terry was very proud of his children and talked about them often. He earned the nickname “Moe” many years ago and carried that until he passed away. He will be missed by many friends, family and relatives and will always be in our hearts and memories.
A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.
