The West Plains Police Department recently hosted its annual year-end banquet, celebrating the dedication, professionalism, and hard work of its officers throughout 2024. The event served as an opportunity to recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to protecting and serving the West Plains community.
Three officers were honored with special awards for their outstanding performance this year:
- Recruit Officer of the Year – Officer Austin Deshazo
- Supervisor of the Year – Sergeant Brandon Romans

These officers represent the very best of WPPD, demonstrating exceptional dedication, integrity, and leadership in their roles. The department invites the community to join in congratulating these deserving honorees—and to thank all WPPD officers for their tireless service and commitment to keeping West Plains safe.
