Summersville Man Due Back in Court- Accused of Public Exposure and Gouging Deputy’s Eyes

Joshua Bolin, a 34-year-old man, has been scheduled for arraignment on March 11, 2025, following his arrest on serious charges, including assaulting an officer and indecent exposure. Bolin faces multiple charges stemming from an incident that occurred on February 28, 2025.

The Texas County Sheriff’s Department reported that Bolin was found exposing himself in a public area and urinating in a business parking lot, prompting a call to local authorities. When deputies arrived on the scene, Bolin became combative, resisting arrest and physically assaulting one of the officers. During the arrest, Bolin gouged the deputy’s eyes, resulting in the officer being treated at a local hospital for his injuries before being released.

As a result of the incident, Bolin is facing charges of 1st Degree Assault on a Special Victim, Resisting Arrest and Sexual Misconduct (Indecent Exposure).

The deputy involved in the altercation was treated and later released.
