Shannon County Sheriff’s Office Responds to Residential Fire in Eminence

A residential structure fire on Old Highway 19 prompted a swift emergency response early Wednesday morning after Shannon County Sheriff’s Office Captain Brumble noticed smoke coming from a home while on patrol.

At approximately 7:45 a.m., Captain Brumble immediately contacted Central Dispatch, requesting the Eminence Area Volunteer Fire Department to respond. Multiple agencies, including Howell Oregon Electric Cooperative and other mutual aid departments, assisted in containing the fire. Additionally, Mercy EMS staged at the scene to ensure the safety of emergency crews.

The Shannon County Sheriff’s Office expressed deep appreciation for the firefighters, emergency responders, and volunteers who assisted in the response. Sheriff’s officials also extended special recognition to Chief Deputy Hughes, Captain Brumble, Corporal Henry, and Community Outreach Officer Hawkins for their quick action and dedication to public safety.

Authorities have not yet released details regarding the cause of the fire or potential damages. The investigation remains ongoing.
